St. John's keelback, Xenochrophis sanctijohannis, is a species of snake found in Pakistan and India (Kashmir).

Habitat:

Bharatpur - Dec 2014 Mostly saw near the water bodies, but did not see it coming or entering the water.

Genus Xenochrophis, can't tell which one. I'm sure someone more familiar with Indian snakes can help more :)
