Begonia

Begonia sp

Description:

Single light pink flower, low growing annual. With over 1500 species, I'm not sure which one this is.

Habitat:

montane rainforest

Notes:

I spotted this on a forested ridge during a 4 day hike near the Myanmar border in southern China. I saw 2 different species of Begonia, but only the one was in flower. Most Begonias I've seen in the wild are nothing like their cultivated relatives. They are not as vigorous or as well flowered.
