Description:

The powder puff of feathers on the crested duck's head is really quite striking. Crested ducks in the wild have "lophonetta specularioides" as the scientific name. This spotting is of a domestic crested duck and does not have a scientific name.

Habitat:

This domestic crested duck was spotted along the edge of a pond at an rv park in Florence, South Carolina.
