Fiery Skipper

Hylephila phyleus


A small Skipper, 1 cm in length. This is the male, which is yellow (the female is more brown). The club on the antennae is two-toned orange and black. The underside of the face is white and there is a small white ring around the eye. Family Hesperiidae. See ( for pictures of the upper side.
