Description:

5 to 6 cm long caterpillar, very hairy with very long hairs. There seems to be three types of hairs; black on the back and reddish underneath, while on the back we can also see some very long white or transparent hairs, three times longer than the black and red ones.

Habitat:

Lake Leman (or Geneva lake) Valley, peripherie of Geneva urban area, mixture of urban and rural zones, and close to protected nature spaces/corridors. Found on the gravel road, right in between freshly harvested wheat field, and sunflower field (maturing).
