One of the Anise Swallowtail Caterpillars on the fennel plant in my garden is preparing to pupate! I saw it purge loose stool then proceed to wander all over the fennel plants for about 2 hours. It finally positioned itself on an old fennel stalk at 6:33pm. I do not know when it will make a silken sling/harness. I will find out in the morning!
