Columbina inca
A small dove. Its feathers look scaley...that is the key to its ID. A lifer for me.
The Hotel in Guadalajara, Mexico where I stayed had lovely grounds and I spotted many species of birds as I strolled around before breakfast everyday. These birds occurred as small flocks as they foraged on the ground. When they saw me or were startled they flew up to the trees.
