Description:

It is an insect of approximately one centimeter, which stands out for its orange-red color, except for the antennae, on the ends of the legs, the end of the elytra and eyes that are black. Narrow, rectangular body and elongated antennae. The elytra are straight, soft and flexible. They have two wings but they are not good fliers.

Habitat:

In a public garden.

Notes:

It is a great predator of aphids and other small insects. Therefore, it is a great ally to consider in the fight against certain pests. Also, because they frequent flowers to feed on nectar and pollen of various kinds, it is a great pollinator. They also use the flowers as a place to practice mating.
