Rufous Fantail

Rhipidura rufifrons

Description:

The rufous fantail is an active, little bird that fans its tail continuously. Eye, bill, dark brown. Orange-rufous eyebrow, lower back, base of tail.

Habitat:

The Rufous Fantail is found in rainforest, dense wet forests, swamp woodlands and mangroves, preferring deep shade, and is often seen close to the ground. During migration, it may be found in more open habitats or urban areas.

Notes:

This little guy was great to watch. He was having such a good time flitting around and "dancing". We enjoyed the show.

Oh.. nice spotting.. These guys are always landed in dark shadow area under big trees and their spotting is very tough job.
