Black bug hibernating under a log. It has the profile of an assassin bug. This may be a late (fifth?) instar or an adult wingless species. Wingless adults (Ground assassin bugs) are known to exist and this may be one ? http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_...

The habitat and weather were both dark so the pic is rather blurry :(
He's not going to win any 'pretty' awards but nice to know where they go in winter.
