Magnificent Swallowtail

Description:

Large black swallowtail with spatulate tails and a distinct central yellow band on each wing.-7 inches (12-15 cm).

Habitat:

Papilio garamas is a species of swallowtail butterfly from the genus Papilio that is found in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama and Costa Rica. The Magnificent Swallowtail is primarily found in forested areas, but they often venture intourban areas.
