Ceylon Crow

Corvus splendens

Description:

Large bird, about 40cm, the forehead, crown, throat and upper breast are a richly glossed black, but the neck and breast are a lighter grey-brown. The wings, tail and legs are black. Very thick bill.

Habitat:

At the swimming pool of a hotel where we had lunch, near Negombo, Sri Lanka. (they are everywhere all over Sri Lanka)

Notes:

Gorgeous bird. We saw them EVERYWHERE!

Yup, that's it. Without something in the reference field, the spotting remains incomplete when researchers do a data search (or something like that!). These are great pictures!

And yes they are so unappreciated but GORGEOUS!
I am afraid I don't really quite know what you mean by "To make it complete, and useful to researchers using this site for data, please edit this" edit what exactly? The reference?
I guess you want me to put a link to a Wikipage (or something else) in reference? Done! Was that all?

To make it complete, and useful to researchers using this site for data, please edit this and add a reference about this species in the reference field of your spotting.
