Lygosoma smaragdinum

Description:

It is called Bubuli in Filipino or the skinks (or scincidae) that are known to us as the common backyard lizards. They belong to the family scincidae, which is the largest family of lizards, with at least 700 named species.

Habitat:

They are truly cosmopolitan, distributed in the tropical, subtropical and temperate zones of all continents.

Notes:

In the late 19th and early 20th century, Lygosoma was used as a "wastebin taxon", to which almost every skink newly described was assigned
