Wheel Bug Nymph

Arilus cristatus

Description:

Black colored shell with white hairs, spiny abdomen with a dark reddish spot. Yellow antenae and a long yellow probiscis.

Habitat:

Found on my Bell Pepper plant

Notes:

also included is the shell from this guy's nymph phase.

This guy is a bit too large to be Sinea spinipes, but it is a nymph of the wheel bug. S. spinipes is brown and has spines on its head--the wheel bug is this dusty gray color.
