Waved Sphinx

Ceratomia undulosa

Habitat:

Hilly meadowland above Binghamton, NY.

Notes:

It was out at night. Approximately 3" long. Wings blurred when beating and made a wonderful toy airplane noise. Very gentle and happy to rest and preen on my fingertips. Delightful.
