Silvery Blue

Glaucopsyche lygdamus

Description:

A butterfly...Maybe 3/4" each wing...it's a really pretty sky blue when it's flying, but as you can see in the fourth photo, it's grey with spots on the under side of the wings. They seemed to be pretty common in the area that day. Any IDeas? See what I did there;)

Habitat:

Centennial Cone Open Space Park, Jefferson County, Colorado

Reminds me of an Eastern-tailed Blue, however, you are Colorado. Wonderful blue!
