Convolvulus dorycnium

Description:

Convolvulus dorycnium or Splendid Bindweed, (a member of the family of Convolvulaceae), spotted in full bloom, on the rocky shore of Agios Nikolaos city, Crete island, Greece. Native to Eastern Mediterranean region, it's very common and can be found in roadsides, hillsides, dry stony places, from sea level to 250m alt. It flowers between April and July.
