Unmistakable and attractive all-blue bird of starling or blackbird size. Adult male has essentially blue colours, brighter blue around the head and underparts, with darker wings and tail.
Not often, but I see these around our garden - this spring quite regularly... Located at outskirts of Dubrovnik, on lower slopes of Srdj mountain, the garden is terraced and covered in Mediterranean fruit trees and spontaneous vegetation. In spring, these terraces are overgrown in beautiful dense carpet of spontaneous Mediterranean herbs and melliferous flowers.
