Mealybug destroyer

Family Coccinelidae

Description:

At first I thought that this was some species of mealy bug, but some friends told me (based on the photo of the insect's belly, #3 of this series) that it is a ladybird larva, known as mealybug destroyer. Anyway, it is around three times bigger than the other ones I've seen. Photo #4 shows its relative size.
