Cuttlefish

Sepia plangon

Description:

About 8cm in size, these two cuttlefish were apprehensive at first but with me hovering just slightly above the corals & staying absolutely still with my camera, they let me hang around & film their behaviour of feeding each other. I took pictures in different settings & lighting conditions. The first (colourful) one was taken with an LED light, no strobes used & the rest were taken with manual white balance set against the sand. They were incredibly cute! Lost their fear of me after a few minutes.

Habitat:

In cabbage coral patches with seaweed (pedina, sargassum seaweed etc.), lettuce coral & anemone.

Notes:

I could be wrong about the specie but it's definitely a Sepia.
