Description:

Yellow colored plant/weed growing in a grassy area w/ good sun exposure.

Habitat:

Location was at a County water reclamation facility. It was up above the holding pond on an incline (designed as a wall).

The genus is Taraxacum, in the Asterid family. A picture of the basal leaves would be helpful in more specific identification. On a separate note, each of those small yellow flattened protrusions is an individual flower, with its own set of stamen and pistils, so you're looking down at a small bouquet.
