Japanese Beetle

Popillia japonica

Description:

About 12mm in length. Head,pronotum and scutellum smooth metallic green. Elytra green at the midline, the rest brown and slightly striated. White tuft of setae visible from the posterior end of the sides of the abdomen

Habitat:

Urban garden.

Notes:

Seems to be partial to roses and grape leaves, but eats almost everything.
