Description:

This one was on the last blooms of the Shasta Daisy, Leucanthum. It had best beware of the small crab spider waiting under the petals.

Habitat:

The garden is about half an acre of native plants specifically planted for wildlife. The main water source is a pond that is filtered by two gravel streams. It is on a peninsula by Lake Lewisville, TX.

Beautiful. We have an overabundance of these, and are the most common ones for me to spot and photograph. I had no idea there was a purple hairstreak and can't thank you enough for your knowledge and ID help.
