Hello all, couldn't resist entering the conversation. Could the ladybug larva in this spotting be the same as the one in my spotting?

Unfortunately you got the wrong one. Take a look at the 4 orange spots, thesea are typical for the sian Ladybug. When I told you to look first at the most common ones, than is here some tragic story behind. It is unfortunatly already or soon the most common one in Europe and probably although in US. It was introduced from Asia for fighting against agricultural pests and it in now also a pest for the native ladybugs. It feed up to 100 times as much lice than the native one, which means, no more food around for poor native ladybugs. So classic first come not first serve, but starving (I hope not to exstinctio, but might happen) or the fitter will survive even at the wrong place or must say because it is on the wrong place...

Bayucca, I agree that that is the best way.
Once Goody suggested to me once , i compared the larva to the most common lady bugs we have here.
It was a perfect match for the seven spotted ladybug.
Identification can be a fun game!!

Hola Paula, welcome on Project Noah. I can't tell you which ladybug it is, but you might have soem books around with your local fauna, you take the first and commonest ones and compare with yours. You might find a good match.
