Tricholoma mushroom

Description:

Grey fibrilose caps about 75mm wide. White gills widely attached to stipe. Stipe seemed slightly scaly - no ring seen.

Habitat:

Growing in clusters under eucalyptus trees.

ShannonInCT- I will put this down as Tricholoma sp as per your suggestion - I am a little concerned that it might not be T.eucalypticum as the margin is not lobed and the cap not as smooth.
This spotting looks more like T. terreum which has been introduced into Australia but they are associated with non-native pine trees and not eucalyptus.
