Noctuid moth

Ramadasa pavo

Description:

Ramadasa pavo is a triangle moth with strange wings from the Noctuidae family. The moth is about 15mm in length. 1st pair of wings consist of grey, brown, black and yellow. The lower area of the wings which is brown have strange patterns. Side of the wings near the head is striped black and yellow. 2nd pair of wings are yellow. Black legs and antennae.

Habitat:

Kundasang highlands, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:

For almost 2 months this moth has been unidentified. ID was found by gatorfellows. 1st photograph by dad. >>>Map accuracy : 50m diameter.
