Gordon, thanks. The closest I can come up with is blaesoxipha kellyi, in the Sarcophagidae.

I think this is one of the Flesh Flies (Sarcophagidae). The three black stripes on the back of the thorax help to define this group of flies. The white spots may permit you to refine the ID even further. Start at http://bugguide.net/node/view/110/bgimag... and work your way backwards. (The first number of pages are merely numbered Sarcohagidae.) Would be curious to see what you come up with.
