Thanks Dave! I had just come across a copy of the spider eye formation ident. sheet, but not in English. I have to say since being here in Thailand that I am becoming more fascinated with the spiders. A very useful reference, and info re. the exoskeleton. Thank you again

Definitely an exoskeleton. Hanging by a thread anchor, so that it can pull out. Also the eyes are white. Had it been a dead spider, the eyes would not be white and it would not be anchored.

I have a similar picture and was told that spider has moulted leaving this exoskeleton behind. :)

Could be dead Sukanya .. I don't know. They just hang by a thread. No movement when I touched it
