I've found a few spider exteriors like this, hanging by a thread. Can someone explain to me what happens please
Thanks Dave! I had just come across a copy of the spider eye formation ident. sheet, but not in English. I have to say since being here in Thailand that I am becoming more fascinated with the spiders. A very useful reference, and info re. the exoskeleton. Thank you again
Definitely an exoskeleton. Hanging by a thread anchor, so that it can pull out. Also the eyes are white. Had it been a dead spider, the eyes would not be white and it would not be anchored.Looks like a huntsman from the eyes. This link is worth storing: http://thebiologistapprentice.weebly.com...Dave
That's interesting Nikita as I wondered if that could be the case but have not found anything anywhere to suggest this. Thanks!
I have a similar picture and was told that spider has moulted leaving this exoskeleton behind. :)https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=...
Could be dead Sukanya .. I don't know. They just hang by a thread. No movement when I touched it
Very strange. Looks dead, is it?
