Postia tephroleuca

Description:

The fruitbody of Postia tephroleuca is typically 4 - 10 cm across and 2 - 4 cm thick. The upper surface is smooth or felty, whitish to grey yellow or grey brown and a white margin. The pores are white, 4-5 per mm and round.

Habitat:

Postia tephroleuca is saprobic on dead deciduous wood and can be found in broadleaf forests and shrubs.

Thank you, Neil. It has been freezing at nights so the fungi season is almost at its end over here. I guess I'll have to do with the few species one can find year round :)

Nice spotting, Jae. I've been on the lookout here for fungi but, even after reasonable rain, it's still too dry. Find the odd bracket though.
