It was seeing the leaves that made me think it was'nt the right ident Lars .. got there in the end!
Added pic with leaves - I think you have been absolutely right with your suggest, Viv. I can't make out the exact one, though. It looks closest to the Marsh Pea, but this is rated as highly rare here (but actually it grows very commonly here in the region)
Yes, that was the closest I noticed as well - but the leaves do not match (aside from the more purplish color)
Thanks for the direction, Viv...it's very common here on field- and wood edges. Wiki should have listed/displayed the species if it was a Lathyrus...surprisingly it does't. So I tend to think it is something different..I am going to take a shot of the pretty typical leaves asap.
