Cucurbita

Curcurbita

Description:

A member of the pumpkin/gourd family. Uncertain which as the Thai people use a lot of this family of vegetables in their diet. A male flower has been used for pollination

Habitat:

These have been planted around rotten coconut palm trunks, on the edge of a coconut plantation. I would think some organic matter has been incorporated into the ground for this plants to do well. There is also a very healthy patch of fungi
