Thanks Ashish! Looks like it is in the familly of Zygaenoidea but it's not Harrisina metallica, the wings and the abdomen is very different, I don't have pictures of the abdomen but I've seen it and it's nothing like H. metallica.
I did find a moth that looked a lot like this one, it's supposed to be a Rhagades pruni, here is the link: http://www.insects.at/view.php?img=Lepid... but the description of the species doesn't fit.
In general the moths of the Acoloithus genus look a lot like this one, Acoloithus falsarius being pretty close. There's an Acoloithus totusniger found on Colima Volcano in Mexico, but it's just named in some places, but I can't find any description or further refference. Do you think I could settle for Acoloithus sp.? You've taken me a long way with your suggestions.

My bad... Rhagades pruni is pretty close, as for colour, but the proboscid in my moth is orange... so, I'll keep looking.
