Spotting

Description:

A small lizard with two stripes along its back. It has long toes for climbing plants as can be seen in some of the photos. The mouth of the lizard is very difficult to see in any photo.

Habitat:

Rural area south of Hyderabad.

Notes:

The lizard knew I was watching it, and as I circled around the plant to try to get a clearer picture, it also circled around the plant to hide behind it. Persistence paid off, and I was eventually able to photograph its back. I am hoping the stripes will help to identify it.
