Candy-striped Leafhopper

Graphocephala coccinea

Description:

This small, brightly colored leafhopper is about 5 mm in length. Wingcovers are brilliant blue and red striped. Head is yellow with a black eye stripe. Legs and underside are yellow.

Habitat:

I photographed this leafhopper at the edge of my suburban yard on the periphery of a deciduous forest.
