A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Sylvilagus floridanus
This is the second consecutive year I've had a litter of Eastern Cottontail kittens in my backyard. The nest is in the exact same dug out location as last year. It's at the base of an Iris bunch. Like last year, I had to put up a temporary fence to keep my very interested dog from disrupting the nest. He likes to spend some time sniffing along the fence every trip to the backyard (as seen in the third photo).
