Befaria racemosa
The evergreen leaves are oval, and both the leaves and stem are coarsely hairy. It blooms in the spring and summer with conspicuous white or pinkish flowers about 2 inches wide. The petals are sticky, hence its common name.
Tarflower is a common pineland shrub.
