Description:

Is an arboreal species, found in thickets with emergent trees. The female lays three or four large rough-shelled white eggs and incubates them alone. These are medium-sized birds, similar in general appearance to turkeys, with small heads, long strong legs and a long broad tail. This is a social bird, often seen in family groups of 6 to12. It walks or does short flights along branches seeking the fruit and berries on which it feeds, or flies off with an ani-like .------------------------------------- Es una especie arbórea, que se encuentra en los matorrales con árboles emergentes. La hembra pone tres o cuatro grandes huevos blancos toscamente sin cáscara y los incuba sola. Estos son aves de tamaño medio, similar en aspecto general a los pavos, con cabeza pequeña, patas largas y fuertes y una cola larga y amplia. Esta es un ave social, a menudo visto en grupos familiares de 6 a 12. Se camina o realiza vuelos cortos a lo largo de las ramas buscan frutas y bayas de las que se alimenta.

Habitat:

It it find in lowlands from eastern Honduras to northwestern Colombia (from South Chocó to the upper Atrato) at up to 1,100 m (3,600 ft) altitude.----------------------------- Se lo encuentra en las tierras bajas del este de Honduras hasta el noroeste de Colombia (desde el sur de Chocó a la parte superior del Atrato) de hasta 1.100 m (3.600 pies) de altitud.
