Hibiscus moscheutos
This is one of several Hibiscus moscheutos in the garden. It is my vacorite color and usually the first to bloom. The bloom only lasts a day, but will cover a small 6 inch plate. It is early morning and shortly this bloom will be fully open and you will be able to see its dark maroon eye.
A half acre wildlife habitat full of native plants. The areas where the Hibiscus moscheutos are planted all receive ample water. It is a swamp or bog perennial.
