Gilded Flicker

Colaptes chrysoides

Habitat:

feeder

Notes:

One of my favorite birds. These are very similar to the Northern Flicker, but the yellow underparts give it away. They love to pose for you.

I love flickers! I took this photo firm inside my house, they are pretty shy. I love your photography also!

Hey Joshua, our Northern Flickers are migrating through Nevada...I saw the first group this week. You took a good shot. Those here are a little more shy, hard to approach.
