Description:

One of several male Blue Dasher dragonflies spotted in the central wetland area at Huntley Meadows Park. This individual was patrolling a small area of the wetland, flying approximately one foot above the water surface when I shot these photos.

Habitat:

Beautiful captures! The in flight shots are such a challenge that when I actually get a good shot I'm very excited and kinda disappointed when no one else thinks it's as cool as I do - ie: family & friends. LOL Here's my attempt at dragonfly in flight http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/791...
and if you look at my other shots, there are quite a few birds in flight on there too,
