Peacock Flower

Caesalpinia pulcherrima

Description:

A plant with pink flowers that looks a bit like a hibiscus flower. Have 4 large petals with whitish edge, and a smaller yellow petal on top. The long stamens or stigmas are sticking far out. These flowers are the rare pink variation of the species Caesalpinia pulcherrima.

Habitat:

Planted as ornamental plants alongside the road outside Rainforest Discovery Centre.
