Poet's daffodil

Narcissus poeticus

Description:

Narcissus poeticus is cited as a flower of mythology. The trumpet is short and a different hue than the petals. Here, it's pictured in bloom, almost intertwined with Narcissus pseudonarcissus (left side of photo 2, and spotted separately here: https://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/10...).

Habitat:

Seen on a hill in the temperate woodland of High Rock Park during spring.

Notes:

This is likely a yellow variety and may represent a cross with another species.
