Nudibranch

Hypselodoris sp.

Description:

An undescribed species of dorid nudibranch, belonging to the Hypselodoris genus. It certainly looks like H. bullockii, but the colors are wrong for that species. This one has a salmon-pink, semi-translucent body and foot, both edged in smoky white. The rhinophores are a darker shade than the nudibranch's dorsum; the gills, on the other hand, are a lighter hue with a tinge of white along the edges.

Notes:

Spotted two of them on a type of sponge in about 30m of water at the Mushroom Rock dive site, Samal Island, Philippines.
