Terrapene carolina triunguis
He has a crack on his shell, he is really fast to.
My great grandma found it on the road.
Hi there. Since you know the identity of your organism, please go ahead and fill in the scientific name field. This allows the spotting to fully enter the database and become complete, letting groups and individuals use the data and find your spotting. It also takes the spotting off the "unidentified" list. Thank you!
Here's a great Project Noah blog entry that explains the spotting process:

I would contact a local wildlife rehabilitation center and see if they will take in this little turtle. They have methods of cleaning and repairing the crack in the shell so that the turtle can be released back to the wild. :-) Great spotting and very glad your grandma took the time to get this one to safety!
