Notes:

Discovered on a rock on the beach, in wet sand, Schinias Bay, Greece. Schinias Bay is one of the six ecosystems of the Schinias National Park, a protected area which includes important wetlands, pine forests, and critical biodiversity. This beetle is apparently an invading species.

Well, Paul Davis and maplemoth662, that was a huge surprise for me! Thanks for your comments. That Potato Beetle had certainly misplaced itself, out on a beach, several kilometers from the closest farm. Alarming to know that they’ve come to Greece. Potatoes are an important crop here.
