Description:

This small dark skipper wizzes around our sunshiny garden and allowed a second or two to get focus. Family: Skippers (Hesperiiidae) Sub: Banded Skipper (Hesperiinae) Wingspan( 2.5 to 3.8 cm (1 to 1.5 inch) Above Male Dark brown some whitish spots on forewing. Below:Unmarked hindwing -Occasional faint spot band Larval Host plant: Sedges.

Habitat:

Moist areas near deciduous forest. Wet meadows.
