Description:

Grass-like plant is a member of the sedge family (Cyperaceae). The long silky bristles give its fruit clusters the appearance of soft cotton. This species is found in bogs, fens & peatlands across the boreal regions of North America & Eurasia.

Habitat:

Flood controlled fen.
