Description:

orange wings with black spots on top, brownish with white spots underside, about a 2 inch wingspan

Habitat:

coniferous and deciduous forests and lakeshore

Notes:

a fairly common species in northern Wisconsin, and very similar to Aphrodite Fritillary.
