Probably since this is in the SF Botanical Gardens. I was too busy focused on the Warbler and a nosey Ruby-crowned Kinglet in the next similar bush.

Great pic of this lovely little guy. I would suggest that the plant is a Hairpin Banksia - Banksia spinulosa, and Aust. native.
