Steatoda nobilis

Description:

Approx 15mm long. The entire spider has a glossy look. Thorax black, legs black and brown stripes. Abdomen black with gold patterning.

Habitat:

Usually found in houses and outbuildings. Builds a 'messy' web and feeds on flies and other small insects.

Notes:

Found in a terracota pot in the Greenhouse.
